Obituary for Donald Clyde Everett

Mr. Donald Clyde Everett passed away June 27, 2023, at the age of 58.
Donald, also known to some as “Fat Boy,” was a loving and devoted husband, father, pawpaw, and friend. He was an extremely hard worker and went above and beyond to provide for his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He became a Registered Nurse in the late 1990s, and primarily worked in home health for 25 years. His patients loved, adored, and doted on him at every opportunity.
During his spare time, Donald enjoyed doing mechanical work, including repairing vehicles, ATVs, boats, and more. If it had a motor, Donald could pretty much fix it. He also enjoyed being outdoors and working in his garden. Donald lived life to the fullest without much hesitation or fear. He loved driving in the fast lane and was sure to scare anyone in the passenger seat.
Although he had a wild side and a tough exterior, he also had a tender heart. He took pride in the town where he lived, and his Thomas Street neighbors were like family to him. Donald – without a doubt – was one of a kind, and his family home won’t be the same without his voice, humor, love, and presence. However, his family finds peace that Donald has been reunited with his daughter, Star, who he has deeply missed.
Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Jerri Star Tomera; parents, Betty Ann Cain Everett and Ted Heard Everett; and his grandparents, Bootsy and Oscar Cain.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Jerri Lynn Everett; daughter Amber Nicole Ortega (Oscar “Coco” Ortega); siblings, Deb (Clyde), Betty Francis (Kevin), Judy, and Pete; grandchildren, Cadee-Mae Tomera and Zachary Austin Tomera; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
