Obituary

A memorial service for Mr. David Carlson, 74, of West Monroe will be held at a later date. Mr. Carlson, a retired communications engineer for AT&T, was born on August 20, 1945 in Jacksonville, NC to the union of Everett Louis Carlson and Susan Galandak Carlson, and passed from this life on November 7, 2019 in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Carlson was a radio operator on a P3 Orion for the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He is a member of Iona Presbyterian Church. Mr. Carlson is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Susan Carlson; and brother, Richard Carlson.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patsy Ann Carlson; sons, David Everett Carlson, JR., John William Carlson, and Aaron James Carlson; and sister, Linda Knight. He is also preceded in death by eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Omgosh, I am so sorry to hear about David's passing. I worked off an on with David as a contractor for Bell South/AT&T. He was a wonderful person and I learned a lot from him. God bless you all and give you comfort and peace!! Elizabeth Ann Gilmore
