Daniel “Wesly” Spears, age 30, unexpectantly passes away July 7th, 2022. He was born on. September 20, 1991, in Monroe, LA. Services for Wesly will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Fairpark Baptist Church, with Bro. Waymond Warren officiating. Internment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Calhoun, LA. Visitation will be held at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe, on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Wesly was a member of Fairpark Baptist Church and loved his church family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, “hobby farming” goats and turkeys, playing the guitar, and antiquing. He adored his daughter Charli, she was the light of his life.
Wesly is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents J.L. and Pat Kenney, paternal grandparents Wiley and Ruby Spears.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Charli Spears; parents Wallace and Connie Spears of Downsville; siblings Brandi McCartney and husband Jacob of West Monroe, Jessica Johnson and husband David of Youngsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wiley Spears, Charlie Brown, Brandon Jones, Luke Whiteman, Bryan Pullin and Dale Mercer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Wink, Gene Spears, Jacob McCartney, and David Johnson.
Proverbs 27:17, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens the face his neighbor,” is almost universally seen as positive. Some view this maxim as an example of “tough love,” others as a rewording of a verse earlier in this passage, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend”
