Obituary for Clayton Charles Watkins
Clayton Charles Watkins passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, in Monroe, Louisiana.
Beloved son of Johnny and Renee Romero Watkins. He was loved by all who knew him. He loved big! Clay would give you the shirt off of his back, lending a hand to anyone who is need. He knew no stranger and was the most kindhearted person most people ever met. Clay accepted Christ as his personal savior on August 22, 2018. He struggled with addiction, but his family takes comfort in knowing he is free from those chains now and with our Lord and Savior.
Clay had two sons, Grant and Logan Watkins, whom he loved dearly. He was so proud of his boys, and so proud of his new grandson.
Clay is survived by his mother, Renee Watkins, son Grant and wife Shay Walker Watkins, son Logan Watkins, grandson Walker Hunt Watkins. His brother John Watkins, brother Chris Watkins and wife Niki Watkins, sister Jeannie Watkins Moore and husband Hud. Nieces Michelle Moore Hebert (Dylan), Carly Watkins Hayes (Caleb), Amie Lorraine Watkins, and Emma Iguess. Nephews Andrew Moore (Merci), Charlie Watkins, Chandler Watkins, Cade Iguess and Alec Iguess. Uncles and Aunts: Phil (JoAnn) Watkins, Wayne (Becky) Watkins, Mark (Brenda) Romero, CD (Melissa) Romero, Lorraine Romero Harbour (Jack), Margaret Watkins Granger, Elizabeth Watkins Fruge (John).
He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Watkins, grandparents Claude and Ruby Kimball Watkins, Clarence and Evadine David Romero.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Our Saviors Church in Jennings, LA.
