Obituary

The memorial service for Christopher Shaun Finklea, 43 of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 pm, November 2, 2020 at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Christopher was born on November 20, 1977, at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe. He attended Farmerville High School and spent most of his life in Union Parish. He was a commercial electrician by trade, and the former co-owner of Live Wire, LLC. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Marion, LA. He passed away at St Francis Specialty Hospital on October 28, 2020.
He is preceded in death by his father Richard Hicks Finklea, Sr. and his brother, Michael Shane Finklea. Also, by his grandparents, Malcolm & Peggy McVicker and Marshall & Willene Finklea.
Those left the cherish his memory is his wife Tara Finklea, son, Keagan Payne, step-daughter Kynsley Reagan. His mother, Roxanne Finklea, his sister, Shea Emery and husband Stephen, brother, Richard Finklea, Jr and wife, Amy, nieces Gracie and Audrey and nephew, Elijah. Mother-in-law, Terrie Payne. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I will always be grateful to Chris for helping Travis and getting him on the right track. He was able to do that when no one else could. I am praying for his family and will never forget what he did.
