Mrs. Charlotte V. Allen Coon was born January 4, 1944 and passed from this life on July 8, 2020 surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Charlotte was an avid bridge player at her local bridge club. She spent over 40 years of her life enjoying the game of bridge. She was an active member of the Monroe Bridge Center and Monami Newcomers Club of West Monroe. She has established ranking as a Ruby Life Master with over 2200 points and was a current member of the Clear Lake Bridge Club. She attended several tournaments that took her around the country playing a game that she adored. She enjoyed spending past times playing other various card games. One of the most revered games she loved and developed extreme skills in, was the game of dominos. When visiting Monroe, you often found here in a competitive game of dominos playing with family. This game was played for generations in her family and the legacy of this game continues in her descendants. Her love for politics and this country was beyond compare. You could constantly find her listening to FOX news. She was always up for a healthy political debate. This past year she had the wonderful experience of being able to attend a Trump rally in Monroe, Louisiana. She was a dedicated family woman. Her family always came first. She was an excellent problem solver and was an inspiration to all of those who had the pleasure of meeting her. She was a prime example of courage, strength, beauty, and grace. Her compassion for life and love was something to be admired. Being a two-time breast cancer survivor was a prime example of the amount of strength she possessed. Her one weakness was Elvis Presley, even with her unconditional love for Elvis she was able to maintain a 57-year marriage with the one man who was able to love and challenge her throughout her life.
