It is with deepest sorrows that we inform you of the death of our beloved Charles Marshall Godard, Jr..
A private family memorial will be held.
Following an automobile accident, Charles Marshall Godard, Jr., age 78, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Willis-Knighton Hospital surrounded by family.
He was a dedicated family man that proudly served his country as a member of the Army National
Guard and United States Army. Over the years, he showed community support as a member of the Masonic lodge where he achieved the designation of 32nd Degree Mason and served as Worshipful Master. He served in various capacities in his church including men’s Sunday school teacher. Following service to his country, he worked in the insurance industry as an agent and manger for 15 years prior to starting his first business. As an entrepreneur, he owned and operated businesses to include: Godard’s TV Service and Godard’s Consulting, until retirement. As a retiree, he kept himself busy learning computer and network repair and began providing his services to a few local clients. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Shirley Sue Godard; his children: Stanley Wayne Godard (Carla), Dwight Douglas Godard (Michele), William Gary Godard (Michele), Alan Curtis Godard (Shelley); fourteen grandchildren: Wendi Nicole Godard, Megan Elizabeth Godard, Amber Nicole Temple (KC), Carissa Rae Smith (Ashton), Adam Joseph Godard, Amy Kristina Boone (Tal), Charles Henry Boone (Cassie), Lauren Suzanne Godard, John Curtis Godard, Tyler Douglas Godard, Caroline Paige Godard, Peyton Ray Englerth, Sara Lynn Godard, and Thatcher Willis Godard; five great grandchildren: Dylan Anthony Brice, Alice Lynn Temple, Eli Bennet Smith, Ashlynn Grace Schmehl and Emmett Charles Temple
Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home – Monroe La , St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
