Our beloved mother, Betty Colleen Boyce, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8th, at the age of 76. She was brought into this world by her mother, Dorothy Hart on January 19th, 1946 and raised in W. Monroe, LA. She grew up in a large household of 5 sisters and 2 brothers, and was a graduate of W. Monroe High School in 1964. Betty became a member of the International Church of God, where she met her soulmate, Jerry R. Boyce. Her and Jerry were later blessed with 2 beautiful sons, Flint and Blake.
After Betty & Jerry left the church, they created and ran a successful advertising business they named Typographics. Jerry was the graphic artist, and Betty was the office manager and typesetter. Their business led to their success of giving their sons all of the essentials in life, including living in the country at Lake Whitney, and raised up in Ft. Worth. After retiring, they moved to Calhoun, LA, to be near her mother, before she passed.
After Jerry passed, in 2017, Betty stayed devoted to the Living Church of God, in Monroe, LA. Her world became her devotion to her church, and her member friends. They all loved her so.
Betty was a very independent woman. She was a very giving mother and friend to everyone. She was a true believer in her faith with Jesus Christ and the scripture. Betty was very dedicated to her notes and journals, whether scripture, medical remedies, memories with family, so consistently recording notes. She always made a point of helping her friends and family.
She is survived by her sons, Flint and Blake Boyce, their wives, Shay and Kim; her grandchildren, Miles, Carissa, Miranda, Kaitlyn, Preston, Brinley, and Braedon; her brothers, Scott and Clark Hart, sisters Kathy Hart and Sandy DeBlois; her nieces, Shelley, Jamie, Tiffany, Lisa, Jennifer, Sabrina; nephews Shannon and Trey; and her sister-in-law, Sandra Boyce Hamilton. She will be remembered by her Great Grandchildren: McKenna, Olivia, Presley, Piper and Embry.
