Obituary for Bessie "JoAnn" Brady

Graveside service for Bessie “JoAnn” Lois Taylor Brady of Farmerville, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Ebenezer Church Cemetery, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.

Bessie “JoAnn” fought a month-long battle against COVID-19 before she was called home to the Lord on June 1, 2020. Not only was she the cornerstone of her family, but, as a nurse, she sacrificed everything for both her family and her patients. Her many friends and family will miss her kind words and warm smile.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbern Louis Taylor and Bessie Raye Taylor; two brothers, Lawrence Taylor, and William Taylor; sisters, Mable McKenzie, Minnie Denmon, Louise Denmon, Elizabeth Venhaus, Alice Stephens, and Juanita Cox.

Survivors left to cherish her memories include her two sons, Wilbern Joe Brady, Sr. and wife Kathy, Curtis Marion Brady and wife, Vicky.
She had fourteen nieces and nephews, six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren, Will Brady and wife Jamie, Shawn Brady, Melissa Tedeton and husband Daniel, Rebecca Brady, Glenn Moore and wife Kelly, Denise Jeselink and husband Keith; great grandchildren, Maegan Stephens and husband Johnathon, Jeanna Tedeton, Garrett Brady, Kayleigh Tedeton, Kaitlyn Bowie, and Breanna Bowie, Deanna Moore, Kenny Moore, Amanda Jeselink, Kailyn Jeselink, and Lilly Jeselink.

She was a veteran as an army nurse in the Korean Conflict War. She was also a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in West Monroe, LA. Elder Eddie Earl will officiate.
Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Weston, LA. She will be missed by all that knew her and will forever be in all of our hearts.
