Obituary for Barbara Elaine McQuiston
A celebration of life for Mrs. Barbara Elaine McQuiston of Downsville will be from 3:00PM until 5:00PM Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Griffin Funeral Home 911 Warren Dr. West Monroe.
Mrs. McQuiston was born March 18, 1956 in Aurora, CO and passed from this life on May 6, 2021 in Downsville, LA at the age of 65. She loved to play piano, taking photographs, making cards and helping others in need. She especially enjoyed crafting things and sewing. Barbara was a loving wife, mother sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benton and Uella Avery; and one sister, Joan Williams.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Jeff McQuiston, Sr. of Downsville; her children, Jeffrey McQuiston, Jr. of Downsville and Jo Anna Cannon and husband, Steve of Mountain View, AR; her brothers, Jack Avery and wife, Lea Ann of Choudrant, and Byron Avery and wife, Tammy of Calhoun; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
