Obituary for Barbara Elaine Browning
Graveside services for Mrs. Barbara Elaine Browning of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00am Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Harris Cemetery in Crowville, LA with Rev. Kelly Coleman officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 5:00pm to 8pm at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Browning was born April 13, 1931 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on July 5, 2020 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 89.
She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and taught piano for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Dewey Knight; her mother, Melba Knight; husband, SJ Browning Jr.; brother, Curtis Knight; sister, Belma Street.
Survivors include her son, Donovan Knight Browning; sister, Anna Ruther Salsbury; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Jacob Browning, Ethan Wayne Branch, Branden Michael Browning, David Randolph Street and Larry Dale Street.
Honorary pallbearers, Bruce Salsbury, Jason Salsbury, Kurt Knight and Michael Knight.
