Obituary for Alan Dale Spruell
Funeral service celebrating the life of Alan Dale Spruell of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 600 Highway 139, Monroe.
Interment will follow at Bosco Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home, Monroe.
Family will receive friends for visitation, 12pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Alan was born October 14, 1954 and passed from this life May 14, 2021 at the age of 66.
He loved comic books and reading and his dog sugar. He retired from the City of Monroe after 25 years.
Alan is preceded in death by his parents Julius and Violet Spruell, and brother, David Spruell, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, James Gregory Spruell, siblings, Barbara Smith and husband Bobby, PeeWee Spruell and wife Jan, Milton Spruell and wife Jennifer, Alice Whitaker and husband Butch, Wanda Bain and husband Mike, and Debbie Spruell and Russell; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
