Obituary for Victor Wayne Smith
Victor Wayne Smith
Celebration of Life for Mr. Victor Wayne Smith, 74 of Columbia, LA, will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home in Monroe. Interment will follow at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Dubach, LA.
Mr. Smith was born on May 21, 1941, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 6, 2016. Victor enjoyed fishing, being on the water, arts and crafts, country music, and dancing. His pride and joy was spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Geneva Smith; and brother, Sidney L. Smith, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Janice B. Smith; three children, Waymon Tyler Smith, Pam Smith and husband Ray, and Vickie Smith; five grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Jada Matlock and husband James, Jana Holman and husband TJ, Laryn Navarro, and Lyndsey Navarro; two great-grandchildren, Gauge Smith and Railyn Holman; and one great-grandchild on the way, River Holman; sister, Bonnie Morris and husband Gene; brother, Eddie Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Pallbears will be Chad Navarro, James Matlock, TJ Holman, Ray Smith, Billy Boone and James Collinson.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2106, at Griffin Funeral Home in Monroe.
