Funeral service for Gertha Hilmer McKaskle will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 10am in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held at the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe, LA, from 5-7pm Monday November 25, 2019. Bro Buck Furlow will be officiating.Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
Hilmer McKaskle was born on July 25, 1931 and passed from this life on November 22, 2019, at the age of 88. She loved to cook, her flower garden, to travel, and her dog little Chico.
Those that precede her in death are her mother Cindy Worley; her husband of 25 years, Jack McKaskle; her son James Cooper.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Tina Chachere and husband Paul of Pelican,LA; daughter, Renee Smith of Sachse, TX; daughter, Kay Cooper of West Monroe, LA; son, Ray Cooper and wife Leonette of Clarksville, MD; two stepdaughters, Jackie McKaskle Wise and Mary Ann McKaskle Cline; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
