Funeral services for Myrene Tanner will be 2pm, Monday at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church in Downsville. Pastor Alan Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm at the church.
Mrs. Tanner was born March 8, 1935 and passed from this life on September 28, 2018 in Farmerville, LA at the age of 83. Myrene was a homemaker who loved cooking Sunday dinners for her family, quilting with friends, and evening coffee on the porch.
She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Sherwood Tanner, mother Alphia Frost, father Palmer Jake Frost, and daughter Cindy Gail Tanner.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Frankie Tanner and wife Pam, Travis Tanner and wife Kim, and Sherri Barnhill, sister Daurline Tanner, grandchildren Crystal Dillard (Jim), Jason Tanner (Tarin), Holly Brown, Christopher Whitlock, and Joel Monnin as well as 4 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the many healthcare staff who played a role in her care.
