Funeral services for Debra Cotten Bergeron 64 of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Monday, August 20, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home 911 Warren Dr. West Monroe with Bro. Simeon Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until time of service Monday at the funeral home.Â
Debra was born on June 2, 1954 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on August 17, 2018 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 64. Gone from our midst, but not from our hearts.
Debra worked as a social worker for the state of Louisiana for 22 years, She enjoyed bowling, playing Pokeno and fantasy football with her friends and family. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, putting others ahead of her own needs, selflessly.
She is preceded in death by her father, Elbert Cotten; Mother, Margaret Townsend Cotten; one brother, Jerry Wayne Cotten; half sister, Nettie Mae Lowery.
Those left to cherish her memories include her two sons, Barry Bass and wife Amy of Pennsylvania, Brandon Penna of West Monroe, two brothers, Delbert Cotten of Calhoun, Ray Cotten and wife Johnnie of Jonesboro; one sister, Sylvia Henley and husband Johnny of Calhoun; two grandchildren, Brookyln Bass of West Monroe, and Tyler Penna of West Monroe, many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be, Brandon Penna, Sandy Savanna, Timothy Tucker, Kek Tucker, Cody Reneau, and Chase Reneau
Honorary pallbearers include, Tyler Penna and Josh Stathom-(Twank)
